Our Story

A small shop for the things worth keeping.

A sunlit corner of a modern farmhouse living room

We started with a single, well-loved chair.

Lily & Loon was born in a barn in southern Indiana — the year our founder, Evelyn, found a worn cane-backed chair at an estate sale and brought it home in the back of a borrowed pickup. It needed a little love, but it was the kind of piece that made a room feel like it had always been there.

That single chair turned into weekend drives, then a small spare room of finds, and eventually a shop. Today, we work with estates, flea markets, and a tight circle of independent makers to bring you objects with soul — pieces gentle enough to slip into your everyday, and beautiful enough to keep for good.

We believe in slow shopping, slow living, and slow rooms that build themselves over years.

Meet the maker

Evelyn Loon, founder

Evelyn grew up in her grandmother’s kitchen, surrounded by hand-thrown crocks, cast iron, and linens stitched by hand. That sense of warmth — of a home built slowly, by the people who live in it — is what she pours into every piece she chooses for the shop.

When she isn’t out hunting, you’ll find her in the studio testing glazes, answering emails over coffee, and writing the little stories that come with every shipment.

What we stand for

A few quiet things we believe.

01

Curated, never crowded

We choose less, on purpose. Every piece earns its place by being worth keeping — and worth passing on.

02

Sustainable by nature

Thrifted, restored, and handmade. We work with what already exists — and with makers who use what the earth gives back.

03

Story over status

A patina, a maker’s mark, a chip from another century. The marks of a life lived are what make an object beautiful.
